There’s something different about seeing this country from horseback.
The track stretches out beneath the river gums. Hooves find their rhythm, the Murray takes its sweet time somewhere nearby, and before long you’ve forgotten what hour you left in.
Rein & River trail rides are about the right horse, open tracks and seeing border country the way we reckon it was meant to be seen - at horse pace. No rush. No traffic. No prize for getting there first.
First ride or hundredth. The rest tends to sort itself out once you’re in the saddle.
The Murray’s in no hurry. Neither are we.

Our job is to match you with a horse that suits yo, give you time to settle in and find a pace that feels right.

Comfortable in the saddle? Brilliant. We’ll give you room to enjoy it.
Prefer taking things slowly? That’s still riding. You don’t need to prove anything out here. Neither does the horse beneath you.

Chatty Cathies generally ride towards the front. Quiet Queens can settle towards the back.
Depends-on-the-day Dianas drift wherever the mood takes them and could turn up at either end. At least until the social battery leaves the track.

WHAT TO WEAR
DRESS FOR THE SADDLE
Long pants, enclosed boots and clothes suited to the weather. Nothing fancy. Just comfortable, practical and ready for a little dust.
We’ll send the complete what-to-bring list before your ride, so you’ll know what belongs in the car and what can stay at home.

Weather, track conditions and the horses can shape the pace and feel of the day. That’s part of riding real country.
Every ride is planned. We simply keep an eye on conditions and make small adjustments to the pace or timing when needed, so everyone can relax and enjoy the track.
GV sets the scene. We take care of the rest.

HORSES ARE HORSES.
Horse riding carries inherent risk. Even experienced, well-cared-for horses can respond unexpectedly. We manage risk carefully, but we can’t remove it entirely.
If something isn’t right - horse, human or
conditions - we change the plan.
